With our high-tech ABI vascular testing equipment, Image Monitoring USA aims to revolutionize how medical institutions buy their supplies worldwide. We allow our customers to take full advantage of our vascular devices by providing them with essential training and helpful resources.

Falcon Physiologic Vascular Testing Systems

What is an ABI system?

An ABI testing system measures the ankle-brachial index (ABI) by a quick, non-invasive method plus performs a Dopler and or PVR waveform to check for and monitor peripheral artery disease (PAD), The ABI system is considered as the golden standard and has made the diagnosis much simpler and faster than ever before.

Digit waveforms and pressures; to calculate a Toe Brachial Index (TBI), should also be performed on all diabetic patients over the age of 50 that have numbness or tingling in their digits.

Portable ABI Machine

A Portable ABI machine comes with fully portable design that makes carrying the instrument between lab locations simpler. Our ABI systems are portable and user-friendly because of its compact design, a roller bag for simple storage and transportation, and rapid lab setup. We proudly deliver our clients ABI systems that are perfect for ABI screening clinics, home health care agencies, doctor’s offices, hospitals, and other locations where portability is required.

Price

A high-quality ABI vascular test machine costs $7,500 for a very basic system but can go for as much as $40,000 for a comprehensive diagnostic PVD testing system.

FAQs

You lie on your back while undergoing an ABI test. A cuff is inflated while a hand-held Doppler probe that is pushed against the skin to see and hear flow in your artery. The diagnostic PAD testing system is used by the technician to take your blood pressure and capture waveforms in both of your arms and ankles.

The process is the same as above. An ABI by itself is not diagnostic. An ABI by itself can easily miss significant peripheral vascular disease. You must be trained to perform the exam accurately and you must have waveforms interpreted by a trained professional.

Yes, in case of emergency, but it is considered to be extremely unreliable and inaccurate.

A portable blood pressure (BP) monitor can be used in an emergency if an ABI machine or a doppler probe are unavailable.  Place a cuff on each limb of the patient, take their systolic pressures, and calculate the ABI ratio. This method is not recommended and considered to be unreliable for diagnosing PAD.

Yes, it can be used. This would be considered a rudimentary screening method and considered to be done only in an emergency.
